Lot Description

George III silver salver of shaped circular form with beaded edge, central presentation engraving and raised above three claw and ball feet.  Hallmarked London 1772 with the make's mark I.C. Diameter measuring 8 3/4 inches (22.5 cm), weight 15.5 ozt (484 grams).

Salver is very tarnished all over and displays general wear and surface marks and scratches all over.  Numerous larger and more visible scratches to the centre of the dish and also to the underside, and various minor nicks and pin prick marks.  Underside also has some deeper nicks in the metal.  Hallmarks to underside are clear and legible.
