Lot Description

Edwardian silver small salver of circular form, the raised everted rim embossed with shell, scroll and foliate motifs interspersed with vertical pierced detail, the centre engraved with a later presentation inscription.  Hallmarked Levi & Salaman, Birmingham 1901.  Inner rim diameter measures 8 1/2 inches (21.5 cm), weight 13.5 ozt (420.2 grams).

Item is quite tarnished and displays general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use.  Some deeper scratches in places, especially some visible to the centre of the tray and the underside.  Some minor nicks and dints around the rim.  Hallmarks slightly rubbed but still legible.  The personal presentation inscription is dated much later.
