Lot Description

Victorian silver twin handled sugar bowl, the globular body highly embossed all over with scrolling foliate motifs, with twin leaf capped loop handles and raised above four scrolled feet.  Hallmarked Horace Woodward & Co (Edgar Finley & Hugh Taylor), London 1887.  Maximum length measures  5 1/2 inches (14 cm), weight 5.98 ozt (186 grams).

Bowl displays general wear, surface marks and scratches and some tarnishing all over.  Also heavy remnants of polish all over.  Various minor nicks and surface dints.  There would possibly have been a lid but this is no longer present.  Hallmarks to the underside are legible, maker's mark partly distorted but still legible.
