Lot Description

A silver caster and jug, each of angular baluster form on a circular foot, the caster with foliate pierced lid, the jug with flared spout and S scroll handle. Hallmarked Joseph Gloster Ltd, Birmingham 1947 and 1955. Maximum length of caster 6 3/4 inches (17.2 cm), gross weight 10.69 ozt (332.4 grams).

Condition Report

The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The jug has a line of discolouration near the thinner part of the tapered neck, possibly suggesting this was converted from another caster. The hallmarks are slightly rubbed.
