Lot Description

A selection of silver and silver mounted smoking related items, to include a late Victorian scrolling foliate engraved vesta case, monogrammed, a matchbox cover and two cigar cutters. Vesta hallmarked H.Bs, Birmingham 1897. Weight of weighable silver items 1.51 ozt (47 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The vesta is in good condition, hallmarks clear and legible. The matchbox cover is significantly dented and has discolouration. Hallmarked O&S, Birmingham 1948. The cigar cutter with two graduated holes, is missing the blade, very slightly bent. Hallmarked WM Ld, Birmingham 1949. Both cigar cutter hallmarks and makers marks slightly worn.
