Lot Description
Early twentieth century silver cigarette case of curved oblong form, engraved all over with scrolling foliage around a central vacant cartouche to the front, hallmarked Joseph Gloster Ltd., Birmingham 1912; together with two slightly later similar examples, also with scrolling foliate engraving throughout, hallmarked Birmingham 1919 and 1921. Combined gross weight 8 ozt (250 grams). (3).

Condition Report
All three cases display some tarnishing with darker spots and patches, general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. There is more wear to edges and corners and some deeper scratches visible to some areas. Slight loss of detail to decoration in places and some minor nicks and surface dints. The 1919 case displays considerably more dints and scratches, especially to the front, which are also clearly visible to the interior. Hinges and clasps on all three are in working order. Hallmarks to all three are clear and legible.
