Lot Description

A 1930's silver cigarette case of rectangular form with canted edge, engine turned decoration all over and gold coloured push release clasp detail, hallmarked H C Freeman Ltd., London 1937;  together with a further silver rectangular cigarette case with engine turned decoration, hallmarked Kenart Ltd., Birmingham 1945, and a similar smaller example, hallmarked W Wilkinson Ltd., Birmingham 1938.  Combined gross weight 16.32 ozt (507.5 grams). All three cases display some tarnishing with some darker areas and patches, also general wear and surface marks and scratches, commensurate with age and usage.  Some deeper scratches visible to some areas, also a little bit more wear to edges and corners.  Some small nicks and dints are visible but only minor ones.  Hinges and clasps on all three are in working order.  Various marks and discolouration patches to gilded interiors on all three.  Personal dedication inscription to interior of smallest case.  Hallmarks on all three are clear and legible.
