Both vinaigrettes display general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing with general discolouration to the gilt interiors. The first example appears in a little better condition,  displaying slight dints to the corners and the hinges perhaps a little too loose. The second George IV example displays a little more wear with shallow dints and bumps, the outer hinge also a little loose and does not hold fully shut, the hallmarks lightly rubbed but legible.
