A late 19th century garnet brooch, the circular foil back garnet cabochon, within a bead and rope-twist layered surround, suspending a snake-link swag and tassel. Length 8.2cms. Weight 22.6gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Moderate tarnish/discolouration. The tassel is deficient one of the outer bead and spike drops. There is a glazed panel to the reverse of the brooch, green verdgris to the glass mount. The clasp is a modern replacement.
