Lot 197

Lot Description

A mid Victorian 15ct gold memorial ring, with central oval onyx panel carved to depict a flower, with scroll engraved shoulders and woven hair inlaid band, together with a heart-shape memorial pendant with turquoise flower decoration and hair panel to the reverse. Ring with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1866. Ring size M. Length of pendant 1.4cms.

Total lot weight: No

Overall fair to good condition, with light surface scratches from general wear which is in keeping with the age of the pieces.

The ring would benefit from a clean, the inlaid hair section to the band is in good condition but is quite dirty.

To the pendant, one turquoise section has been replaced, there is some green tarnishing to the reverse. Noticeable surface nicks to the panel glass, particularly to the edges.
