Victorian silver vinaigrette of oblong form with shaped outline, engine turned decoration, initial engraved cartouche and opening to reveal a silver-gilt interior with foliate pierced hinged grille. Hallmarked Nathaniel Mills Birmingham 1854. Length measuring 3.8 cm, 20 grams.

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Gilding to the interior displays general discolouration. Original sponge present. The hallmarks appear rubbed but legible.
