Lot Description
George III silver bread basket, the oval form with graduated and oblique beading and alternating pierced scroll-work and quatrefoil with stars and circles, central engraved crest of a cubit arm erect holding a cross patonce, rope twist rim and raised on an conforming oval foot. Hallmarked Edward Aldridge London 1765. Maximum length measuring 13 inches (33 cm), weight 19.2 ozt (598 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
Some heavier tarnishing and would benefit from a clean and polish. Some of the more delicate areas of piercing display dents, also minor splits/tears and repairs. Passant mark only to the handle. The joins of the handle appear a little rough, semi circle reinforces to the underside.
