Lot Description

Edwardian silver open salt of capstan form with blue glass liner and Neoclassical style piercing and decoration, hallmarked Charles Lambe Dublin 1908.  Together with an early twentieth century silver sauce boat of classic form and a 1920's silver caster. Gross silver weight 6.3 ozt (197 grams). (3).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The sauce boat appears weak and dented where the handle meets the body, the feet have impressed to the interior, the gilding remains bright, town mark to the hallmark is completely worn. The caster is hallmarked Birmingham 1927 and measures 4 1/2 inches (11 cm).
