Lot Description

A George III silver key wind half hunter pocket watch by Thomas Allkins, the white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, bordered by a minute track, plain case hallmarked London 1811, fitted with a signed full plate fusee and chain movement with verge escapement and decorated and pierced balance cock. Case diameter 52mm. Together with a silver key wind open face pocket watch.

Pair case pocket watch, movement not currently functional - will need some attention, movement screws have superficial scratching, minute hand broken half way down, hands show slight discolouring and are distorted, dial covered in small scratches, numerals faded and paint wear is worn from previous use, movement hinge has excessive play and may need some attention, front cover dented and scratched around edge, lightly scuffed all over with notable dents on the bottom,  one or two dents on case back, covered in fine scratches from wear, outer case missing, pendant lightly scratched, bow is loose - may need some attention.


Lot comes with a silver key wind open face pocket watch in a base metal plastic fronted outer case, the movement of which is functional
