Lot Description

A Victorian pair of silver Fiddle pattern sugar tongs, initialled, hallmarked William Rawlings Sobey, Exeter 1843. Together with a George III silver mounted glass caster, hallmarked London 1809, possible maker's mark of C.B, height measuring 5 inches (12.5 cm). (2).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

Significant wear to the silver mounting on the caster, in particular with numerous splits. Minor chips present to glass. Hallmarks to the sugar tongs are nice and clear, distorted to the caster.
