Lot Description

A set of six 1930's grapefruit spoons with stylised foliate terminals, together with nine George III and later teaspoons including an Irish George III example with partial hallmarks possibly for John Power, Dublin 1788-1815. Gross weight 8.67 ozt (269.8 grams).

Good to fair overall condition with scratches, small dents and tarnish in keeping with general wear. Lot includes a teaspoon hallmarked Alexander Coghill, Glasgow 1852, with replacement bowl with hallmarks for Birmingham 1929. Irish spoon hallmarks worn. Bowl worn to one side, slight dents. Monogrammed MR. Grapefruit spoons hallmarked Thomas Bradbury & Sons Ltd, Sheffield 1934. Small shallow dents to the bowls. One handle with what appear to be bite marks. Most maker's marks worn. Other spoons with slight wear to some of the bowls, generally good.
