Lot Description

A Victorian silver christening mug of baluster form, embossed with floral scrolls surrounding the initialled cartouche, hallmarked George John Richards & Edward Charles Brown, London 1858, height measuring 4 inches (10 cm). Together with two further early twentieth century silver christening mugs of varying styles, hallmarked London 1924, Birmingham 1937. Gross weight 10.1 ozt (317 grams). (3).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Heavy tarnishing and would require/benefit from a clean and polish. Numerous small dents. All personally engraved. Victorian example is dented and compressed to the foot and therefore wobbles. Noticeable file mark and acid test to two. Hallmarks overall are clear and legible.
