Lot Description

A William IV and early Victorian composite three piece silver tea service of squat form with armorial and crest engravings and applied reeded girdle. The sugar basin and milk jug hallmarked William Theobalds & Lockington Bunn, London 1835, the teapot hallmarked Charles Thomas Fox, London 1838. Gross weight 41.9 ozt (1307 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some deeper scratches and pitting visible.  A little rubbing with loss of definition, the armorials /crests noticeably worn. Gilding bright but worn in areas. Small dent to the underside of the teapot spout. Hallmarks overall are clear and legible.
