Lot Description

A late Victorian 15ct gold memorial ring, designed as a shield-shape panel with black enamel cross, to the shaped band with engraved decoration and quatrefoil cut out panels. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1899. Weight 1.9gms. Ring size M 1/2.

Overall fair condition, with surface scratches and minor nicks throughout in keeping with general wear and the age of the piece. There is tarnishing throughout. The band would have had hair woven through it which would have been shown in the quatrefoil cut outs, this is missing. There are four noticeable chips to the shield enamel border. Length of shield 1cm, width of band 4mm.
