Lot Description

A selection of three early 20th century 9ct gold brooches, to include a double heart Mizpah brooch, a pink paste and diamond point bar brooch and a ruby and split pearl bar brooch. Hallmarks for 9ct gold. Lengths 2.8 to 4.2cms. Weight 8.5gms.

Overall condition good to fair. There are scratches to all brooches in keeping with the age of the pieces. The mizpah brooch has hallmarks for Birmingham, 1916. There is a diamond point missing from the bar brooch, some of the remaining diamond points are chipped, there are slight areas of discolouration in places, hallmarks for Chester, 1910. The ruby to the final brooch is a pinkish red colour, with an even saturation of colour. There are blemishes to the split pearls, hallmarks for Birmingham, 1904.  Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue for coloured gemstones.
