Lot 519

Lot Description

An Edwardian silver novelty bridge 'trump' marker pencil with circular changeable 'what are trumps?' finial. Hallmarked William Vale & Sons, Birmingham 1904. Length measuring 8.5 cm.

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The item appears in fair overall condition, displaying  general wear including surface marks and scratches and some tarnishing, all commensurate with the age and use.  Some little nicks and small surface dints and bumps are visible, especially to the front.  The sliding action to propel the pencil and the revolving action to change the finial both appear in working order.  The hallmarks and maker's mark appear rubbed but still legible.
