A cigarette case, marked Tiffany & Co., of slightly curved oblong form and engraved to the front with the name 'Laurel Wood' above an eight pointed star having a monogram to the centre and the motto 'Pro Deo et Principe' below, and opening to reveal a personal name engraving to the interior, also marked 'sterling'. Together with a further cigarette case marked 'sterling', also of curved form and decorated with foliate and other motifs and with dedication engraving to the hinged lid, rubbed pictorial maker's mark but possibly Whiting Manufacturing Co (New York). Respective lengths measure 4 inches (10.2 cm) and 3 1/4 inches (8.2 cm), gross weight 8.77 ozt (272.7 grams). (2).

Condition Report
Both cases display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Several heavier marks and scratches and little nicks in the metal. Also some shallow dints and bumps visible to both. Heavier wear around edges and corners and some slight loss of surface detail to some of the decoration on the second case. There are also remnants of tape to the interior of this case. Hinges and clasps to both are in working order. The motto on the Tiffany case translates as 'For God and Prince'.
