Lot Description

An early twentieth century silver hip flask, the curved oblong form with detachable cup and  hinged lid with locking mechanism. Hallmarked James Dixon & Sons Ltd, Sheffield 1917. Height measuring 5 inches (13 cm), weight 6.3 ozt (198 grams).

The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Numerous dents including a larger  dent to one of the bottom corners. Drag marks present from removal of the cup. Cork would require replacing. probably removal of an engraving to the front main body as the silver feels thin. Hallmarks worn but legible.
