Lot Description

A selection of twentieth century silver and a continental box, to include a 1930's engine turned, curved rectangular cigarette case, hallmarked James Swann & Son, Birmingham 1931, length 3 3/8 inches (8.6 cm). Together with a monogrammed silver compact, a silver cased comb, a silver pill box, a silver ash tray and a continental box with world map detail. Gross weight 13.61 ozt (423.2 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Continental oval-shape box with partial Italian marks, stamped 800. Base with world map and what appears to be a route across it, stamped Eugenio C. 1977. Pill box with mirror to lid, traces of powder inside. Pill box with significant dents. Ashtray with 'S' monogram. Engine-turned compact with 'MR' monogram. Compact with numerous, small, shallow dents.
