Lot Description

An early twentieth century silver mounted purse of oval form, bright cut engraved foliate scroll decoration throughout with central vacant cartouche to the front, hinged opening to a faux leather interior, with metal suspension chain and finger ring. Hallmarked Hazelwood & Co., Birmingham 1918. Maximum length measures 12 cm.

The purse appears in fair overall condition, displaying some general wear including surface scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some slight dints but the decoration is still quite bright. The hinged cover appears in working order. Some general wear to material lining. Some slight distortion but the hallmarks are clear and legible.
