Lot Description

A late Victorian silver buckle with floral and foliate scroll decoration, hallmarked Synyer & Beddoes, Birmingham 1899, maximum length measuring 7 cm. Together with a selection of novelty items to include a Victorian decanter label for Brandy, hallmarked Charles Reily & George Storer, London 1839, a further later example for Scotch, an early twentieth century vesta case, a thimble, a modern circular trinket box, a Franklin Mint ingot and an oriental base metal box of oval form. Gross weight excluding oriental box 6.48 ozt (201.6 grams). (8).

In varied state, all pieces displaying general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with their age and use and to varying degrees. Quite heavy tarnishing visible to most items and they would all benefit from a clean and polish. Heavy file mark to the Brandy label. Possible repair to the hinge of the vesta case. Some wear and distortion to hallmarks but they are mainly legible.
