Lot Description

Two silver mounted Cross fountain pens, the tapering form with reeded banding, the lids mounted with a crest for the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, opening to reveal an 18ct gold nib. Convention state assay marks for Ireland, 925, nibs stamped 18K 750. Length measuring 5 1/4 inches (13.5 cm). (2).

Condition Report

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Further spots of heavy tarnishing. Numerous minor dints. The base ring of the lids appears plated with base metal showing through. Would benefit from a clean. Convention state assay marks are clear and legible.
