A continental pedestal dish with twin handles.

Lot Description
A continental pedestal fruit dish of circular lobed outline, having twin foliate scroll handles and raised above an openwork stem modelled with four swans to a domed base. Two struck marks to the base, indistinct. Maximum height including handles measures 9 inches (23 cm), weight 12.86 ozt (400 grams).

Condition Report
The dish displays general wear including surface scratches, marks and some small dints. A couple of heavier knocks to the foot rim and it wobbles a little when standing. Heavy tarnishing throughout and it would benefit from a clean and polish. Possible small repair at join of one handle to rim. Large hole in the top of the domed base. Dried white substance around the top of one of the swans, possibly remnants of polish.
