Lot Description

An early 20th century pearl and gem-set swallow brooch. Of circular outline, the diamond-set foliate surround with eight cultured pearls at equal intervals, to the central swallow shape, with red paste set to the eye and further diamonds to the body and wings. Length 3.5cms. Weight 7.9gms.

This lot is in fair condition, with scratches, dints and tarnish to the metal surface in keeping with age and wear. Two pearls possible replacements. Metal is silver with thin gold backing. Diamonds have an open setting, but have significant dust and dirt to the reverse; would benefit from cleaning.
