A French mother-of-pearl inlaid tortoiseshell purse, of bulging oblong form having elaborate Greek-key and shield motif inlay to the hinged cover opening to reveal a concertina interior with further brass mounted concealed compartment. Interior mount marked Brevete S.G.D.G. Length measures 3 1/8 inches (8 cm) long.
