Lot Description

A 1920's twin-handled silver Challenge Cup for Lancaster and District Horticultural Association, of circular form with presentation engraving to one side, above a knopped stem and spread circular foot, hallmarked Fattorini & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1922. Together with two further 1920's silver trophy cups for Lancaster and District Horticultural and Allotment Holders Association, hallmarks for Sheffield 1923 and 1924, maker's marks for Walker & Hall and John & William F Deakin. Height of tallest measures 8 3/8 inches (21.3 cm), combined weight 35.94 ozt (1118 grams). (3).

All three trophies display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use. All would benefit from a clean and polish. Some dints and bumps and knocks to foot rims. All with presentation engravings. Some slight rubbing but the hallmarks are all still clearly legible.
