Lot Description

A 1930's silver mounted and enamel part dressing table set comprising a hand mirror, a clothes brush, a pair of hair brushes and a comb mount, all decorated with green guilloché enamel with wavy line and foliate detail. Hallmarked William Comyns & Sons Ltd (Richard Comyns), London 1931. Height of mirror measures 10 inches (25.3 cm).

All the pieces display general wear, surface scratches, and marks commensurate with the age and use. Also some tarnishing to silver. Some of the surface scratches and marks are quite deep. Areas of damage to the enamel with some losses. Brushes are in a used and worn state. Some visible damage to mirror plates, especially along one edge. Some of the mounts are lifting or loose. The hallmarks appear a little rubbed in places but mainly legible.
