Lot Description

A nineteenth century Russian silver bowl, the footed decagonal form decorated with scroll edged engine-turned panels and twin opposed vacant cartouche. Russian assay marks for St. Petersburg, an Assay Master mark dated 1874, possibly for Ivan Yevstigneyev and a further maker's mark. Maximum length measuring 6 3/8 inches (16.2 cm), weight 11.53 ozt (358.7 grams).

The bowl displays expected general tarnishing and surface wear commensurate with age and use. Numerous surface scratches and other contact marks are visible, especially to the centre and underside. A few minor surface dints/bumps. Some rubbing to assay marks but still clearly legible.
