Lot Description

An Edwardian silver child's rattle modelled in the form of an owl perched on a ring with three suspending bells and a mother-of-pearl teething ring. Hallmarked Gourdel Vales & Co., Birmingham 1908. Approximate length including mouthpiece measuring 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm).

Appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general tarnishing and surface marks and scratches. Some surface wear and rubbing to the decoration with slight loss of detail to certain areas but generally still good. Hallmarks clear and legible.
