Lot Description

A cased set of six early twentieth century silver teaspoons and matching sugar tongs, each with feather edge, hallmarked Joseph Rodgers & Sons, Sheffield 1910. Together with a similar cased set, missing one spoon, hallmarked Cooper Brothers & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1919/20, and a limited edition set of six silver-gilt spoons having enamel flower decoration to each bowl reverse, in original box with issuing certificate, hallmarked Birmingham Mint, 1979. Gross weight 8.76 ozt (272.4 grams).

All the spoons appear in fairly good overall condition, displaying some expected tarnishing, surface wear, marks and scratches. Heavier wear around the edges and tips of some bowls but they have generally faired well. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
