A Russian pre-revolutionary gold and enamel locket. Of shield outline, with polychrome enamel geometric motif containing Cyrillic letters, suspended from a hinged surmount. Russian marks including the 56 zolotnik mark. Length 3.7cms. Weight 8.2gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Surmount loop possible later addition/replacement.
<li>Oval photographic compartments to inside, one deficient glass.
<li>Enamel with nicks and gas bubbles. Enamel is mostly red, white and blue, the Cyrillic contained within black enamel.
<li>Stated length includes surmount loop, length without loop 3.1cms.
<li>Insides with 56 stamp, a further mark and two marks including workmaster mark poorly struck, indistinct.
