Lot Description

A Victorian inlaid walnut games/work table. The hinged rounded oblong quartered top with boxwood string, enclosing an inlaid backgammon/cribbage board and a chess/draughts board, over compartmentalised frieze drawer and a tapering wool drawer now enclosing a selection of games including chess set, playing cards etc., the turned end standards on carved cabriole legs with castors, linked by turned stretcher, 23.5" x 16" x 27.5" high, (59.5cm x 40.5cm x 70cm).

Condition Report

Top has been French polished so appears rather flat. Previously had some veneer blistering/lifting. Old crack shows to both faces of upper flap. Some warping to top resulting in gapping when folded shut. Old splits to turned uprights.
