Lot Description

A mid 18th century oak mule chest of small proportions. The hinged two-plank lid over pieced brass escutcheon, two further to the twin frieze drawers between brass bale handles, between iron carry handles on bracket feet, 35.5" x 17.75" x 21.5" high, (90cm x 45cm x 54.5cm).

Water staining to rear plank of cover. Small crack to back edge of front plank. Replaced lockplate. Marks to front edge of lid and around escutcheon suggest it may have had a hasp? Otherwise sound and of nice colour.
