Lot Description
A pair of late Victorian silver open salts and associated condiment spoons, each salt of circular form with bead rims and fluted lower body, raised upon three ball feet, hallmarked Barker Brothers, Birmingham 1900, spoons dated 1901, width measures 5cm. Together with a late Victorian silver pepper, with fluted and embossed scroll decoration, Birmingham 1895, a late Victorian silver caster with embossed floral decoration surrounding a vacant cartouche and a 1920's Scottish silver sauce boat. Gross weight 8.2 ozt (257.7 grams). (4).

Condition Report
In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. One of the open salt rims is slightly misshapen to one side. Remnants of polish visible to the pepper and caster, both with removable lids. The caster with bayonet mechanism to the interior, slight over hang to the caster lid, with minor bumps to the lower body. The sauce boat is further marked 'Hamilton&Inches Edinburgh' beneath the base, minor dent to the everted lip. Majority of the hallmarks clear and legible, rubbed in places, maker's mark on the pepper is indistinct.
