Lot Description
An early twentieth century Russian silver mounted double stamp box, the plain oblong form of curved outline and opening to a wood veneer twin compartment. Russian assay marks including Second Kokoshnik mark for Kiev (1908-1926) and a maker's mark probably for Abraham Marshak (Kiev 1878-1919). Maximum length measuring 2 7/8 inches (7.3 cm).

Condition Report
The box appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying general surface wear, marks and scratches and also some tarnishing. Heavier wear around edges and corners. Hinges appear in good working order. Assay marks are clear and legible.
A later addition to the condition report: there are slight fractures to the wood lining.
