In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The retractable twist mechanism on the opera glasses is in working order, one of the inner black rims of the top lenses has become squashed and dented, both marked 'Eclipse Paris Depose', further marked 'Erres 6' to the bridge part. The vesta case does not shut fully flush, minor loss of definition to the engraved monogram, crude solder around the suspension loop probably later added. Small gap to the cigarette case by the push button on the side, case shuts fully flush with some remnants of polish visible to the interior. One of the singular napkin rings has a monogramed cartouche. Some hallmarks rubbed and worn in places, the maker's mark on the opera glasses is obscured possibly reads 'H E', other hallmarks still legible.
