A silver-gilt surprise egg by Stuart Devlin opening to a hedgehog amongst shrubbery on a green enamel ground. Hallmarked Stuart Devlin, London 1978, numbered 84. Height measuring 2 3/4 inches (7 cm).

Condition Report

The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. Gilding worn and discoloured, spotting to the interior. Hedgehog scene also tarnished discoloured. Enamel presents with a dull covering/residue and would benefit from a clean and polish. Hallmarks clear and legible. No box or case present.
