Lot Description
A modern silver caster, of plain typical form with pierced detachable lid, the whole raised upon a circular stepped foot, hallmarked W I Broadway & Co., Birmingham 1990, maximum height measuring 7 inches (18 cm). Together with a late Victorian Britannia silver Trefid teaspoon with rat-tail and laceback decoration, hallmarked Thomas Bradbury & Sons, London 1898 and a cased silver spoon commemorating the Investiture of The Prince of Wales at Caernarvon castle on the 1st July 1969, hallmarked J D Beardsmore & Co., London 1969. Condition Report
In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The caster has a minor dent and surface marks to the lower body. Some minor loss of definition to the decoration on the Brittania spoon. The dragon and lion shield terminal on the commemorative spoons which twists down the stem is removable and marked with the lion passant to the end of the tail, embossed with the Ostrich Feathers Badge to the interior bowl and engraved 'Caernarvon 1969 23' to the back of the bowl, in fitted black case with the retailer's address for J.D Beardmore & Co. Ltd 3/4/5 Percy Street, London, Wipoej. Established 1860. 9080a' to the interior, comes with accompanying paperwork. Hallmarks clear and legible.
