A George III oval portrait miniature painted upon ivory, depicting a a young woman in period dress seated at a piano, 2" x 2.5" (5cm x 6.5cm), in gilt tooled leather hinged case, together with a mid 19th century painted portrait miniature, probably upon ivory, depicting a head and shoulder study of a gentleman, 2.25" x 1.75" (5.5cm x 4.5cm), in hinged red leather case.

Condition Report
First example, flaking to paint far right corner, minor spotting to background in one area, otherwise miniature appears to be in good condition but has not been inspected from under the glass. Case has significant wear, the lined interior is faded and marked, and has worn away in places, the exterior is heavily rubbed.
Second example, flaking to paint, particularly in all corners, plus some scratches. The lined interior of case is discoloured, ripped, the exterior is heavily worn and scratched, particularly to the edges.
