Lot Description

An early 19th century oak and mahogany-cased 8-day painted dial longcase clock.
Thomas Robinson, Sheffield, the 13-inch break-arched white Roman dial with subsidiary seconds at XII, signed Thos. Robinson SHEFFIELD, within shell spandrels, the arch painted with a Biblical narrative scene (probably Abraham sacrificing a ram), the case with swan-neck pediment and turned columns over crossbanded short trunk door between reeded pilasters, 84.5", (214.5cm) high.
