Moses Jacob, Redruth, the 12-inch two-piece dial with engraved Ho-ho bird to medallion between scrollwork, over square main dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes framing subsidiary seconds dial over coastal cottage, sailing boat, calendar crescent and signature MOSES JACOB REDRUTH, all within rococo scroll spandrels, the knopped four-pillar movement striking on a bell, the case with stepped pediment over sunken columns with brass capitals, the long trunk door with chinoiserie decoration on short base and plinth, 83", (211cm) high.

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

Dial is two-piece, previously square (so probably marriage of dial and case). Split to arch over medallion. Movement looks seized, needs an overhaul. Cheeks packed/blocked to seatboard.
Case roof probably later. Trunk door mouldings regilded; some edge losses. Base may be shortened, plinth probably later. Sold with two weights plus pendulum. Pendulum lacks feather so currently not able to be attached.
