Lot Description

A mid Victorian diamond cluster brooch. The old-cut diamond, with graduated old-cut diamond scalloped double halo. Estimated total diamond weight 4.60cts, principal diamond estimated weight 0.70ct, tinted colour, P1 clarity. Length 2.7cms. Weight 7gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/wear, discolouration to the brooch and pin, in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Principal diamond is slightly loose in mount.

<li>Brooch bar pin is bent out of shape, still fastens correctly.

<li>Some slight soft solder seen, possible alterations may have been made.

<li>Diamonds well matched.

<li>Diamonds bright.<p>
