Lot Description

A 20th century 'Vernis Martin' style vitrine cabinet. The white-veined rouge marble top of oblong form with concave sides having a pierced gilt metal three-sided gallery over pressed tasselled drapery swags, the body with Vitruvian scroll frieze over glazed door, with Watteauesque panel of a courting couple, enclosing two glass shelves, between conforming concave sides on four stiff cabriole legs with gilt sabots, 27" x 13" x 59" high, (69cm x 33cm x 149.5cm).
