A 20th century marble topped 'Vernis Martin' style side cabinet, the mottled red and grey marble top of moulded serpentine outline, over cavetto frieze with gilt mounts, the body with Watteauesque panel of a courting couple, enclosing a shelf between shaped sides with landscape panels, on four stiff cabriole legs with gilt sabots, 31" x 14.5" x 40.5" (78.5cm x 37cm x 103cm).

Minor flaws and edge losses to marble. Craqueleur to panels (probably deliberate), plus three flake losses and one small scratch. Escutcheon broken in two, larger part detached but present.
