Lot Description

A George III silver cream jug, of squat bulbous form with gadrooned rim border, high arch scroll capped handle and engraved crest. Hallmarked Rebecca Emes & Edward Barnard I, London 1817. Maximum height measuring 3 3/8 inches (8.6 cm), weight 7.2 ozt (226.6 grams).

In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier tarnishing and marks to the silver-gilt interior bowl. Would benefit from a clean and polish. The crest is slightly worn. Hallmarks clear and legible.
